Let's just say I have been in the midst of an artistic awakening...wow. I have always loved figurative work...and I have always loved fashion. When I draw or paint, I gravitate towards the female form. I pour through the major fashion magazines, always have, ooohing an ahhhing over designs I will never be able to afford...but nonetheless, taking a breath before the turn of every page. And you know what? I never really made the connection that there was a whole world out there where art and fashion came together. I mean, I have always considered fashion to be art, and vice versa...but I honestly didn't understand that there was something called fashion illustration. Two gals, Emily and Heather, were showing work there so John and I stopped by to see their art, and to check out the venue. Really cool, eclectic place with a bar, stage area set up with a DJ, ping pong tables, lounge chairs, mist when you walked outside in the back patio...and art...just everywhere. The show was still being set up, but it looked to be a good one. Some really colorful sea-themed pieces. Finally...just the usual Saturday night, hanging out at home. I worked on a commissioned piece for a friend in Philadelphia, and of course, my daily drawing #252... timed, ten minutes start to finish,
